Tout simplement, car Sony a décidé de ne pas reproduire l’erreur de la PS4 Pro, cette dernière était deux fois plus puissante qu’une PS4 mais était à la traine face à la concurrence. Notamment face à la Xbox One X, 50 % plus performante. Face à autant de différences, Xbox en à bien profiter pour communiquer autour de la One X comme la console la plus puissante de l’époque et les résultats en jeu étaient très convaincants ! Mais cette bataille gagnée va toucher à sa fin avec la prochaine console de la Xbox, je t’en parle juste après.

En tout cas cette leçon a servi à Sony qui semble préparer une PS5 Pro monstrueuse. Alors évidemment il n’y a pas encore d’information officielle, mais les rumeurs ne sortent pas d’un chapeau magique. La plupart proviennent de ceux qui avaient déjà tout partagé, notamment sur la PS5 Slim avant son officialisation. Malheureusement, 95 % des infos qu’on a dans l’industrie gaming ne sont pas officielles, mais sont des leaks.

Pour faire simple, la PS5 Pro est estimée à 28 terraflops contre 10 pour la PS5 et 12 pour la Xbox Series X.Donc la PS5 pro sera 180 % plus puissante que la PS5 et avoisinant donc des performances brutes d’une carte graphique RTX 3080. Alors évidemment, d’un appareil à l’autre, les jeux peuvent tourner différemment suivant l’optimisation faite par les développeurs. La puissance brute est donc à nuancer même si les terraflops t’offrent une idée.

À quoi va servir autant de puissance par rapport à la PS5 classique ou la PS5 Slim ? Pour parler de la 8k, revenons à la PS4 Pro, elle apportait la 4K en upscale, c’est-à-dire que ce n’était pas de la véritable 4K native. Mais une image Full HD et tirée en 4K, c’est mieux que du Full HD, mais ça ne reste pas de la vraie 4K ! Un nouveau mode de performance ?

Ensuite, pas mal de rumeurs parlent d’un tout nouveau mode performance bien plus intéressant que celui de la PS5. J’imagine sûrement un nouveau nom commercial comme « le performance plus ». Par contre, on n’a aucune info fiable pour savoir combien de FPS la PS5 Pro pourra cracher.

« Et je pense que ça sera spécifique à chaque jeu ou alors Sony prévoit d’avoir des FPS identiques à ceux des jeux PS5 mais avec plus de fonction visuelle comme le Ray Racing. »

Des nouveautés incroyables !

En parlant du Ray Tracing : la PS5 Pro va sublimer l’éclairage dans tes jeux vidéos grâce à une toute nouvelle génération deux fois plus performante.
Autre nouveauté, la PS5 Pro serait boostée à l’intelligence artificielle avec le DLSS. En gros la PS5 Pro va voler une des meilleures fonctionnalités des PC gaming. Un leaker réputé affirme que la PS5 Pro proposera une technologie équivalente au DLSS des cartes graphiques Nvidia. Pour te la faire simple, cette fonctionnalité incroyable améliore la définition de l’image pour une même puissance de calcul. Tu as un meilleur rendu.
Par contre, on n’a aucunes informations sur la capacité de stockage : mais on imagine qu’une augmentation fera partie de la plus-value de la PS5 Pro. Surtout que la PS5 Slim a eu droit à 200 Go de plus par rapport à la PS5 classique, passant de 825 gigas à 1 Terra. Et personnellement ce n’est pas une priorité pour moi vu qu’on peut installer un second SSD facilement.
Sony pourrait inclure le PlayStation Link directement dans la PS5 Pro, comme ils l’ont fait avec la Portal. C’est une technologie de Sony permettant de connecter tous leurs nouveaux accessoires nativement avec les appareils PlayStation, un peu comme des AirPods d’Apple. Il te suffit juste de cliquer sur le bouton Link pour faire la connexion rapide quand tu jongles d’un appareil à l’autre. Car actuellement sur la PS5 si tu veux mettre des écouteurs ou le nouveau casque, il faut un petit dungle. Sauf que si tu le perds, il coûte 25 € et en plus monopolise un port USB là où avec le PlayStation Link, tu n’en as plus besoin. Parce que c’est fait directement avec l’appareil !
En parlant de connectivité, on n’a aucune info sur le passage au Bluetooth 5.3 et wifi 6 permettant des débits sans fil plus performants. Notamment pour télécharger tes jeux plus rapidement. Alors que Xbox vont y passer avec le leur nouvelle console en 2024, on imagine donc que Sony suivra la norme avec la PS5 Pro.

Deux modèles différents de PS5 Pro ?

Et si Sony te proposait deux PS5 Pro ? Cela t’offrirait 5 avantages massifs :

Premièrement, imagine un instant que Sony récupère la meilleure idée de la PS5 Slim en rendant la PS5 Pro modulable. Cela signifie que tu serais libre d’acheter d’abord la console sans lecteur, puis tu pourrais lui rajouter plus tard le lecteur amovible achetable séparément !
Deuxièmement, tu éviterais ainsi de gaspiller 100 € en réutilisant le même lecteur quand tu passeras de la Slim à la Pro. En effet, on imagine que Sony rendrait compatible le lecteur amovible de la Slim sur la Pro.
Troisièmement, le lecteur amovible corrigerait le plus gros problème technique de la PS5 ! Fini les allers-retours au SAV ou les rachats de consoles quand le lecteur tombait en panne. Cette fois avec la Pro, comme avec la Slim, tu peux continuer à utiliser la console quand le lecteur CD est en réparation.
Quatrièmement, le prix de la PS5 Pro te sera moins cher, surtout si tu veux faire tourner GTA 6 dans les meilleures conditions. Deux packs pourraient être disponibles : une PS5 Pro avec lecteur de disque et une Pro digitale 100 € moins cher. Je te détaille les prix dans la 6ᵉ partie de l’article.
Cinquièmement, cet intérêt est pour Sony, car il s’enrichirait encore plus en économisant sur la production, exactement comme la PS5 Slim. Sony éviterait de produire de PS5 Pro différente, comme c’était le cas avec les PS5 originales qui n’ont pas aidé au problème de pénurie !

Et si la meilleure expérience GTA 6 que tu pouvais avoir c’était sur PS5 Pro ?

Car Xbox ne serait pas capable de rivaliser comme je te l’explique en partie suivante. Il suffit de voir les publicité des jeux optimisés pour la PS4 Pro ou la One X à l’époque. GTA 6 a tout son sens et le jeu le plus attendu de la décennie te sera sublimé sur PS5 Pro, évidemment on parle de console car la version PC de GTA 6 n’a absolument pas de date de sortie. Et ce ne serait donc pas étonnant que quand GTA 6 débarque en 2025.

Tu aurais donc droit à un pack avec la console, le combo ultime du jeu le plus beau sur la console la plus puissante ! Surtout que quand on regarde l’histoire de PlayStation le dernier GTA 5 et ses rééditions on était mises en avant sur la marque PlayStation malgré les sorties Xbox et PC.

L’intérêt de Sony est de faire croire au grand public que le jeu n’est disponible que que sur une plateforme. Rien qu’en 2023 Modern Warfare 3, Hogwarts Legacy ou encore ESport FC ont été mis en avant massivement sur Playstation. Ces contrats marketing doivent coûter des fortunes à Sony mais sont tellement rentables.

Ensuite, pour revenir au pack PS5 Pro + GTA 6, le jeu deviendrait une vitrine monstrueuse pour Sony pour montrer ce qu’à la PS5 Pro a sous le capot. Une opportunité à saisir au vu de la visibilité de GTA 6. Et même si les joueurs n’achètent pas la PS5 Pro, derrière l’image de Playstation est renforcée.

Alors grosse théorie de ma part, mais penses-tu que le premier trailer de GTA 6 tourne vraiment sur une PS5 ou une Series X ? Ça ne serait pas trop beau pour être vrai ? Et du coup est-ce que ça serait pas le rendu obtenu grâce à la PS5 Pro ?

Xbox battu par PlayStation

Premièrement, PlayStation ne veut pas encore perdre la bataille face à Xbox ! En effet la PS4 Pro était moins puissante que la One X. Alors cette fois Sony semble avoir anticipé et bosse sur la Pro depuis 2022 ! Et même dans cet élan Xbox va se laisser faire détruire par la puissance de la PS5 Pro.

En effet, Xbox compte sortir 2 nouvelles consoles, mais sans te promettre de grandes révolutions. Tout simplement car Xbox préfère capitaliser sur son Game Pass. Et sur ses consoles actuelles, même si elles se vendent deux fois moins que la PS5.

Premièrement, tu auras une version légèrement modifiée de la Series S. Visuellement aucune différence avec la S actuelle, je tiendrais d’ailleurs au courant pour le prix. Elle aurait juste une meilleure wifi et une capacité de stockage passant à 1000 Go comme la S noire.
Deuxièmement, Xbox va sortir une nouvelle console inspiré de la PS5. Car actuellement tu es obligé d’acheter une Series X à 550 € si tu veux le max de puissance. Même si tu te moques du lecteur de disque. Alors que chez Sony, tu as la liberté de prendre une console équivalente sans lecteur à 450 €. Donc pour remédier à ce problème Xbox va sortir une nouvelle Xbox Series X, 100 % digitale. Au passage, elle aussi, embarquerait une nouvelle wifi 6 et en profiterait pour passer à 2000 Go de stockage.
Et malheureusement la puissance de ces deux consoles resteront les mêmes : 4 terraflop pour la S et 12 terraflop pour la X. Alors que je te le rappelle la PS5 Pro serait à 28 terraflop.

Tu l’auras compris Xbox ne compte pas sortir d’équivalent à la la PS5 Pro, laissant à Sony un boulevard pour devenir littéralement la console la plus puissante au monde. À moins que Xbox change de plan au dernier moment, ce que je pense difficilement envisageable. Sony va donc utiliser l’argument d’avoir la console la plus puissante au monde et ça dès la fin d’année.

Le design de la PS5 Pro

Depuis le début de cet article, tu as vu passer une belle illustration de la PS5 Pro, malheureusement ce n’est qu’un concept de fan. Tout simplement car dans le monde du gaming même si quasiment toutes les informations qu’on a, arrvient bien avant leur officialisation. Et bien les design de produits c’est souvent l’exception qui reste secrète jusqu’au bout ! Ceci dit on avait quand même eu le design de la PS5 Slim quelques jours avant l’officialisation.

Mais l’origine de l’info semblait tellement bizarre, que j’avais dit en live de faire très attention ça pouvait être fake !

Pour en revenir au design de la PS5 Pro, quand on voit que la Slim a perdu 30 % de volume par rapport à la classique ça ne m’étonnerait pas du tout que la PS5 Pro fasse une taille équivalente à la PS5 classique. Tout en ayant les traits si particuliers de la gamme PS5 que ça soit les consoles ou encore les accessoires comme les écouteurs, la Portal et le chargeur de manette. Alors dès que j’en saurai plus sur la PS5 Pro tu seras le premier au courant. Je te donnerais les informations notamment sur Short alors hésite pas à t’abonner !

Prix et date de sortie

Je vois souvent passer sur mon live que c’est vraiment trop tôt pour sortir une PS5 Pro. Mais je vais te faire mal, la PS5 est déjà sortie en 2020. Et sachant qu’une génération de console, c’est environ 7 ans, je te laisse faire le calcul !

Il faudrait donc laisser place à la PS5 Pro ! Alors évidemment elle n’est pas obligatoire d’être achetée exactement comme la PS4 Pro à l’époque. La bonne nouvelle c’est qu’elle sortira quand même avant GTA 6, les rumeurs parlent d’une annonce pour la rentrée 2024. Pour ensuite sortir courant octobre ou novembre, soit 4 ans après la PS5 !

Oui déjà 4 ans, à côté dis-toi que la PS4 Pro était sortie plus tôt, exactement 3 ans et demi après la sortie de la PS4.

Mais surtout est-ce que la PS5 Pro sera la console la plus chère de l’histoire de PlayStation ?

Aujourd’hui beaucoup de rumeurs habituellement fiables se contredisent, mais je pense savoir pourquoi ! Avec la PS5 tu as pas l’impression que la politique tarifaire de Sony est imprévisible ? Regarde c’est quelques exemples :

Le PSVR2 est plus cher que la console, alors que c’est qu’un accessoire.
Une augmentation du prix de la PS5 de 50 € et ça du jour au lendemain.
Ou encore une manette Edge au prix de la Switch Lite.
Sans compter le prix des écouteurs ou de la Playstation Portal à 220 €.

Et autant, les leaker parlaient d’une réduction de prix pour la Slim, ce qui était logique comme à n’importe quelle sortie d’un nouveau modèle Slim. Sauf que Sony n’a même pas eu besoin de baisser le prix de la PS5 avec la Slim tellement elle se vend.

J’ai donc deux théories sur les tarifs envisageables par Sony dont le dernier qui t’évitera de perdre de l’argent par contre le premier choix tarifaire de Sony détruirait ton portefeuille ça serait clairement la pire des possibilités.

Imagine un instant que Sony maintienne le tarif actuelle de la Slim. Alors la PS5 Pro pourrait coûter au minimum 650€ et 750€ avec un lecteur au vu de sa puissance monstrueuse.

Mais passons second scénario, le meilleur pour éviter de payer la PS5 Pro une fortune et rendre au passage la PS5 Slim abordable pour le grand public.

Avec l’arrivée de la PS5 Pro le modèle Slim pourrait chuter de 100 €, pour passer à 350€ pour le modèle sans lecteur de disque et 450 € avec le lecteur. Et du coup la PS5 Pro se retrouverait vendu au tarif initial de la PS5 soit 450 € sans lecteur et 550 € avec lecteur. C’est comme la PS4 Pro qui a été vendue au prix original de la PS4.

Personnellement j’attends avec impatience ce nouveau modèle. Que je trouve bien plus intéressant sur les nouveautés qu’il apporte. Contrairement à la PS4 Pro par rapport à la PS4, je pourrais proposer de meilleurs gameplay PS5 en live Twitch !
